Football: St. John Bosco opens 14-7 lead

There have been lots of big plays in the first quarter of the Trinity League showdown between No. 13 St. John Bosco and No. 18 Orange Lutheran, with St. John Bosco opening a 14-7 lead.

The game started with Orange Lutheran recovering an onside kick. Then came an Orange Lutheran fumble in the end zone that resulted in a touchback.

Then Austin Mahr of St. John Bosco returned an interception 92 yards, setting up a six-yard touchdown run by Jared Ginter. Orange Lutheran tied the game at 7-7 on a Scotty Williams 60-yard touchdown reception from receiver Brandon Turner.

Then St. John Bosco quarterback Keith Price fired a 45-yard touchdown pass to Leon McFadden.
