San Jose Bellarmine Prep, the top-ranked team in Northern California according to Cal-Hi Sports and calpreps.com, lost, 31-23, to San Mateo Serra on Friday.

This likely paves the way for Concord De La Salle to represent the north in the state open division bowl game Dec. 20 at the Home Depot Center in Carson should the Spartans win the rest of their regular-season games and the North Coast Section title.
