Mater Dei marched down the field and scored on its first possession in only six plays, with Jaron Hytche running 12 yards for a touchdown. Quarterback Matt Barkley completed all three of his passes for 35 yards, continuing his run of strong play in the Trinity League.

St. John Bosco fumbled on the ensuing kickoff, giving Mater Dei the ball on the Braves’ 20-yard line after the Monarchs’ Alex Oloriz recovered.
