How’s this for domination? L.A. Windward is averaging 50 points per game and has given up 20 points -- in eight games. That’s right, the Wildcats have allowed only three touchdowns all season.

The Wildcats are ranked No. 2 in the nation by MaxPreps among eight-man football teams. (Don’t be confused by the fact that they are No. 11 on the MaxPreps list because it also includes nine six-man teams from Texas that are ahead of Windward.)

Who’s No. 1? It’s none other than Canoga Park Faith Baptist, which could play the Wildcats in the Southern Section playoffs. Windward (8-0 overall, 2-0 Harbor League) closes its regular season at 1 p.m. Saturday when it plays at Rolling Hills Prep (4-4, 1-1).

The Wildcats are led by junior tailback and cornerback Blayr Jimmerson, who has piled up 17 touchdowns and is averaging almost three interceptions per game; senior defensive end and tight end Ellis Kolber; senior quarterback and linebacker Jeremy Michaelson; junior running back and linebacker Bryce Napier; and junior receiver and linebacker A.J. Frank.
