Baseball: Familiar name to join USC

Cade Kreuter, the son of USC baseball Coach Chad Kreuter, is expected to sign with the Trojans this week. The 6-foot-5 Kreuter is an outfielder at Newhall Hart who was forced to play junior varsity last season after transferring from Valencia.
He hit .314 as a sophomore at Valencia and is listed among Baseball America magazine’s top 100 list of prospects.
Check out this video of Kreuter (No. 28) at the Under Armour All-America Home Run Derby at Wrigley Field back in August. He made it to the finals, but fell just shy of winning.
