Assisted by a pair of pass interference penalties against Narbonne, Birmingham scored on the first possession of the third quarter to pull within 35-21 of the Gauchos.

Just when it appeared Narbonne’s Sean Parker had intercepted a Morey Croson pass in the end zone, a pass interference penalty was called on the Gauchos, giving Birmingham the ball at the Narbonne nine-yard line. Tajuan Briggs scored his third touchdown on the next play.
