If all goes as expected, Ventura St. Bonaventure will end up playing Moorpark for the Northern Division championship in two weeks, and maybe Darrell Scott will be invited to attend the game. Which sideline will he be on?

Scott, the former Moorpark running back who bailed out on the Musketeers last season and led St. Bonaventure to a state Division III bowl championship, is now at Colorado.

Moorpark has won 10 consecutive games after a season-opening loss to Sherman Oaks Notre Dame and will play at Valencia next Saturday in a semifinal game. Moorpark had five interceptions by five different defensive players in a 6-0 victory over Atascadero. ‘It’s kind of a no-name defense,’ Coach Tim Lins said.

St. Bonaventure gets to take on another Foothill League team, Saugus, on Friday night. The Seraphs aren’t going to lose this one. Then it’s on to Moorpark-St. Bony. We know who Oaks Christian will be rooting for.
