A punishing five-yard run up the middle by Melvin Davis on third-and-goal has given Narbonne a 6-0 lead over San Pedro with 2:20 left before halftime.

Narbonne drove 84 yards in 10 plays. The conversion kick failed.

Narbonne finally got the ball to Byron Moore, who caught a 14-yard pass with 7:25 left in the second quarter. Moten tried to make things happen with his running and passing. He broke off a 24-yard run and passed 18 yards to Dannie Farber and 13 yards to Andre Hill, driving the ball from Narbonne’s 16.

I thought I was watching a soccer game for much of the first half, with neither team coming close to scoring. San Pedro failed to move the ball in four possessions and Narbonne went three downs and then punted on three consecutive possessions.
