Football: San Pedro stopped on opening drive

Action has begun in the City Section Championship Division final.

San Pedro got the opening kickoff and did what it does best _ control the ball and the clock with its running game. Quarterback Barry Heads was rolling out and picked up 15 yards on a scramble.

San Pedro’s drive ended at the Narbonne 45, stopped by a sack from Michael Johnson.

It looks like San Pedro has brought the bigger crowd to the Coliseum, with Pirates fans dressed in black on the pressbox side.
