Members of the Catholic Athletic Assn. met Wednesday at a meeting at Gardena Serra to discuss revamping leagues for the 2010-11 athletic season. No vote was taken. Proposals are due in January, with voting to follow.

Kevin Rooney, the athletic director and football coach at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, said discussion centered around whether to disband the four-team leagues for football, how to do it and the ramifications that would occur.

Schools would have to be moved around, and that’s where the controversy will come into play under any proposal. There are few schools willing to move up and join the Pac-5 Division.
