Baseball: El Toro gets No. 1 ranking by one expert

BaseballResource.com has made El Toro the No. 1 team in Southern California in its preseason baseball rankings. Defending Southern Section Division I champion Simi Valley is No. 2 and Capistrano Valley is No. 3.

Here are the rest of the rankings: No. 4 Norco, No. 5 Mater Dei, No. 6 Bishop Amat, No. 7 San Diego Cathedral, No. 8 Northview, No. 9 Oxnard, No. 10 Los Alamitos, No. 11 La Costa Canyon, No. 12 Poway, No. 13 Patriot, No. 14 Royal, No. 15 Grossmont, No. 16 Chatsworth, No. 17 Lancaster, No. 18 Thousand Oaks, No. 19 Long Beach Wilson, No. 20 Orange Lutheran.

Personally, I think Chatsworth is way too low, with seven starters back from its City Section championship team.
