Galen Center site for City semifinal doubleheader

USC’s Galen Center has been booked for the City Section Division I semifinals in boys’ basketball on Saturday, Feb. 28, with games scheduled for noon and 2 p.m.
It should be a terrific day for basketball, with my prediction of Fairfax taking on Taft in one semifinal and Westchester playing a yet-to-be-determined opponent in the other semifinal. Tickets will be $10.
The championship game is set for Friday, March 6 at 8 p.m. at the Galen Center. The girls’ Division I final will be at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10.
On Saturday, March 7. the Division II and small schools finals will be held at Roybal High in downtown Los Angeles. The boys’ small-schools final will start at noon, followed by the girls’ small-schools final at 2 p.m., then the boys’ Division II final at 4 p.m. and the girls’ Division II final at 6 p.m.
