Basketball: More troubles in San Diego

In January, three boys’ basketball coaches from San Diego High were placed on administrative leave as the San Diego Unified School District looked into possible rule violations involving transfer students. They have since been fired.

Now the section has booted out of the playoffs the Eastlake girls’ basketball team because of an ineligible player.

Let’s hope other sections crack down like San Diego is doing. For too long, sections have failed to adequately investigate allegations of false addresses.
