Bolstered by its upset victory over unbeaten Santa Ana Mater Dei on Saturday night, Riverside King has been seeded No. 1 for the 16-team Division I Southern California Regional playoffs that begin on Monday. Westchester is seeded No. 2, Mater Dei No. 3 and Woodland Hills Taft No. 4.

The second round could produce games that look like they should be for a championship. If all goes as expected in the first round, Tuesday’s quarterfinals could match Mater Dei and Fairfax, Taft and Dominguez, Westchester and Etiwanda.
