Baseball: Bobbs unfurls no-hitter for Crenshaw

Crenshaw, the school that produced major players Darryl Strawberry and Chris Brown, had not generated one thing before Monday: a no-hitter.

That changed when Nicholas Bobbs, a highly touted junior being recruited by Cal State Fullerton and UCLA, among others, pitched a five-inning no-hitter in the Cougars’ 12-0 Coliseum League victory over rival Dorsey. Bobbs walked one batter, depriving him of a perfect game.
