Crescenta Valley shortstop Baillie Kirker is the state’s new home run queen.

Kirker, an Arizona-bound senior, went four for five with three home runs, a double, and 10 RBI in the Falcons’ 19-0 Pacific league victory over Hoover on Thursday. The home runs were the 45th, 46th and 47th of her career, breaking the state career record of 45 set by San Pedro’s Perelini Koria last year.

It was the third multiple home run game of the year for Kirker, who has 10 home runs in six games, more than halfway to the state single-season record of 19. Crescenta Valley (6-0) has 20 games left on its schedule exclusive of playoffs.
