Basketball: Bakersfield is awarded state championships

The CIF Executive Committee has approved holding the 2010 state basketball championships at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield on the last weekend in March.
Arco Arena in Sacramento is unavailable next year because it is being used for the NCAA women’s regional playoffs.
The state championships will return to Sacramento in 2011.
