SACRAMENTO -- With center Anthony Stover dominating in the middle, L.A. Windward looks like a Division I team rather than a Division V team and has opened a 19-6 lead against Alameda St. Joseph Notre Dame after one quarter of the state Division V championship game at the Arco Arena.

The 6-foot-10 Stover, bound for UCLA, blocked three shots in the opening two minutes, and his intimidating presence seemed to rattle St. Joseph, which fell behind, 10-0.

Darius Morris contributed three baskets and was effective on fast breaks. Stover ended the quarter with a dunk and six points.
