SACRAMENTO -- Los Angeles Windward is 16 minutes away from celebrating its first state championship in boys’ basketball. The Wildcats have a 34-16 halftime lead over Alameda St. Joseph Notre Dame in the Division V final at Arco Arena.

This game has been all about 6-foot-10 center Anthony Stover, who has been blocking shots, rebounding and scoring inside. He has 10 points and is making everyone look like munchkins on the court. Windward has outrebounded St. Joseph, 21-8, with Stover pulling down seven rebounds. He also has five blocks.
