Brea Olinda appears well on its way to its ninth state title and first since 2000, leading Carondelet, 37-18, at halftime of the Division II championship this evening at Arco Arena.

The Ladycats used a 13-0 run in the second quarter to take a 20-point lead and led by as many as 21 points later in the quarter. Junior guard Kelsey Harris has 18 points on five-for-eight shooting for Brea.

It almost feels like having an appetizer after the main course in the wake of Brea’s hard-fought, 44-38 victory over Mater Dei in the Southern California regional championship.
