Rugby: Southern California Youth Championships on tap

The Southern California Youth Rugby Championships will be held Saturday and Sunday at Cal State Fullerton. Favored in the under-19 bracket that comprises high school players are the Los Angeles Cougars, who have won the title five of the last six years.
The Cougars’ roster is peppered with players from Los Angeles Loyola as well as St. Francis and Pasadena Poly highs.
The winners in boys’ and girls’ divisions ranging from under-14 to under-19 will travel to Pittsburgh next month for the national championships.
