Baseball: Strazzeri’s home run keys Alemany victory

Mark Strazzeri blasted a three-run home run, his sixth of the season, and Mission Hills Alemany defeated St. Francis, 4-3, in a Mission League game. Sean Becker threw a complete game. Strazzeri has a 22-game hitting streak for the Warriors, getting a hit in all 20 games this season and the last two from 2008.

Sherman Oaks Notre Dame defeated North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake, 3-2, with Matt Latherus allowing three hits in five innings for the Knights. Josh Goossen Brown picked up the save.

Loyola upset league-leader Encino Crespi, 5-2.
