Times player of the year Kawhi Leonard will not play in Saturday’s Collision all-star game at El Camino College after missing a mandatory practice and Michigan-bound guard Darius Morris will not play because he has already participated in the maximum number of allowable all-star games, said event director Ken Miller.

Those are two big losses for the Southern Section team, which still features Texas-bound standout Jordan Hamilton and the UCLA-bound duo of Anthony Stover and Tyler Honeycutt. The boys’ game will be played at 6 p.m., preceded by the girls’ game at 4 p.m. and an exhibition for 12-and-under boys at 2 p.m.

While the boys’ series is tied at five games apiece, the Southern Section girls have dominated their City counterparts, winning six consecutive games and leading the series, nine games to one.
