Boys’ basketball: Battle of the Valley all-star game is Saturday

Taft’s trio of Justin Hawkins, Terran Carter and Michael WIlliams are among those scheduled to participate in the Battle of the Valley boys’ all-star basketball game at 7 p.m. Saturday at Cal State Northridge.

The Toreadors will play for a West team that also includes Prince Obasi of Cleveland and Evan Smith of Calabasas. Cleveland’s Osiris Nalls will coach the West.

The East team features Village Christian big man Bak Bak, Campbell Hall’s Bryce Brady and Sylmar’s Gary Ricks. Golden Valley’s Chris Printz will coach the East.
