Woodland Hills El Camino Real did something no West Valley League team has done since 2005 _ beat Chatsworth on its home field. The Conquistadores got a complete game from Greg Burtch and a home run from Alex DeLeon in an 8-3 victory over the Chancellors on Monday.

The loss drops Chatsworth (23-3, 9-2), ranked No. 1 by The Times, into second place in the West Valley after Reseda Cleveland defeated Taft, 7-0. Cleveland is 20-6 and 10-1. David Carver threw four shutout innings for Cleveland and Juan Perez had two hits.

El Camino Real was the last league team to defeat Chatsworth on its home field on May 11, 2005. The Conquistadores (19-7, 7-4) helped strengthen their credentials for a high playoff seeding behind Chatsworth and Cleveland. They beat one of the best pitchers in the City Section in Mike Renner.
