Baseball: Sherman Oaks Notre Dame clinches at least tie for title

Sherman Oaks Notre Dame received home runs from Nick LaFace and Kelly Dugan and a complete-game pitching performance from Josh Goossen Brown to defeat Los Angeles Loyola, 4-2, to clinch at least a tie for the Mission League championship.

Goossen Brown picked off two runners at second base during the game. Notre Dame improved to 21-5 and 9-2. Loyola, which is in third place, had a five-game winning streak come to an end. The Cubs are 16-12-1 and 6-5.
