Baseball: JSerra won’t have its No. 1 pitcher for playoffs

Joe Kurrasch of San Juan Capistrano JSerra won’t be able to pitch in the Southern Section Division I playoffs because he’s still recovering from bicep tendonitis, Coach Brett Kay said.
The Lions won the Trinity League championship despite the California-bound Kurrasch (7-1) being sidelined this month. JSerra is seeded No. 2 in the Division I playoffs behind Norco.
The team will try to rely on its pitching depth.
