Riverside Poly (20-10-1) might feel a bit lonely traveling to Blair Field in Long Beach on Tuesday for the Southern Section Division I semifinals. It’s the only team outside of Orange County to qualify for the semifinals.

Tuesday’s matchups have the Bears taking on Mission Viejo Capistrano Valley at 4 p.m., followed by Huntington Beach Edison facing Santa Ana Mater Dei at 7 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students.

Poly finished second to Norco in the Big VIII League. Coach Aaron Moore frequently has one of the top teams in Division I. The Bears eliminated No. 2-seeded JSerra, the Trinity League champions, and that’s enough to earn respect.
