Football: Summer season begins next weekend

If you’re making plans, mark down June 13 as the start of a busy summer seven-on-seven passing season, with the Dana Hills Air Strike tournament the place to be.

There won’t be a better passing competition than the tournament that will take place in the morning at Dana Hills and San Clemente and end with an early evening championship game at 5:30 p.m. at Dana Hills.

Among the 16 teams entered are Santa Ana Mater Dei, Long Beach Poly, Huntington Beach Edison, Lakewood, Harbor City Narbonne, Westlake Village Oak Christian, Ventura St. Bonaventure, Encino Crespi, Anaheim Servite, Los Alamitos and Santa Margarita.
