Crespi just took control of its Southern Section Division II semifinal against Redlands East Valley by splurging for six runs in the third inning to take a 7-3 lead.

The big hits in the inning were a two-run bloop single to center field by Josh Mason and a two-run double to right by Michael Hubbard. The other runs scored on a groundout and a single by Spencer Wendt, who was thrown out trying to move up two bases on an errant throw home.
