Randall Carrroll, the defending state champion in the boys’ 100 meters, just ran his preliminary heat in an impressive 10.34 seconds, just off the 10.30 he ran at the Del Rey League finals. It was easily enough for a victory in the heat.

Wildomar Elsinore’s Kenny Jackson logged a 10.52 to win his heat.

Santee’s Tevin Carter won his heat in 10.56 and Bishop Amat’s Sheldon Price was third in 10.65.

Fountain Valley’s Kyle Middlebrooks finished second in his heat in 10.54 and Crenshaw’s DeAnthony Thomas was third in 10.67.
