Encino Crespi has opened its Southern Section Division II championship game against Huntington Beach by scoring four runs in the first inning, highlighted by Josh Mason’s two-run home run over the left-field fence at Angel Stadium.

Aaron Ammann started the game with a walk and Kevin Williams was hit by a pitch. Zack Wiley moved the runners up on a sacrifice, setting the stage for Ryon Healy, who hit a two-run single.

After a groundout, Mason ripped his home run, giving Healy an early cushion before he takes the mound.
