Baseball: Matzek’s home run gives Capistrano Valley 1-0 lead

What can Tyler Matzek do for an encore? In his final high school game, the Capistrano Valley senior has just hit a home run to right field at Angel Stadium, giving the Cougars a 1-0 lead over Edison after six innings in the Division I final.

Matzek will take the mound and try to deliver a championship to the Cougars. He has yet to give up a run in playoff action and is on the verge of winning his fourth game of the playoffs.
