San Dimas kept getting its leadoff batter aboard against Torrance pitcher Andrew Pulido (13-0) but was unable to score until the bottom of the fifth inning of its Division IV championship game at Angel Stadium.

After singles by Tim Brookes, Sean Kennedy and Thomas Jenson, the Saints scored on a groundout and tied the game on Josh Leyland’s RBI single. Then they took a 3-2 lead over Torrance with an RBI single by Kevin Ponzo. The third consecutive RBI single was delivered by Matt Thrall.

San Dimas has a 4-2 lead going into the sixth inning and has given the ball to Erik Salcido on the mound.
