Girls’ track and field: North Torrance’s Burrell takes third in shot put

North Torrance junior Jasmine Burrell took third place in the girls’ shot put final this afternoon with a toss of 45 feet 1.25 inches at the state track meet.

Shafter’s Anna Jelmini won with a toss of 50-05.75. Ridgecrest Burroughs’ Kayla Kovar was fourth with a toss of 43-01.25.
