Basketball: Agoura reigns supreme at War on the Floor

The War on the Floor Future Stars all-star games Saturday turned into a showcase for a pair of Agoura juniors who should lead their respective teams to some great things during the 2009-10 season.

Stephan Hicks had 21 points and 14 rebounds to capture most valuable player honors for the East boys during an 87-82 victory over the West. Crescenta Valley’s Coltrane Powdrill had 15 points and 10 rebounds for the East.

Brittany Oster scored all six of her team’s points in two overtimes and finished with 30 points and 15 rebounds to lead the East girls to a 103-99 triumph over the West. Oster was selected the girls’ MVP.
