Boys’ basketball: Westchester, Crenshaw on collision course

Westchester and Los Angeles Crenshaw appear headed to a championship meeting in the Watts Summer Games.

Crenshaw will play L.A. University in a semifinal game Saturday at 11 a.m. at L.A. Southwest College, with Westchester playing Long Beach Jordan at noon. The winners will square off in the championship game at 2 p.m.

The big surprise was that perennial champion Los Angeles Fairfax was upset by Montebello, which has a 6-foot-11, 290-pound junior center in Antonio Worthy. Guard Andrew Torres led Montebello, which later lost to Crenshaw.
