Update: Matt Hobgood signs with Balitmore Orioles

Norco pitcher Matt Hobgood, taken No. 5 overall by the Baltimore Orioles in this month’s amateur draft, signed Saturday for a bonus of just under $2.5 million.

He will play in high rookie ball in Bluefield, Va.
