Annika Lenz, a freshman at Pasadena Poly, will represent the United States in the Junior Pan American Championships from Sept. 10-13 in Calgary.

Lenz will compete in platform and 1-meter springboard. The 14-year-old earned her spot on the U.S. team after winning gold in platform and silver in 1-meter at the Speedo Junior National Championships early last month.

This will be Lenz’s second trip to the Junior Pan Am Championships. She won sliver in platform in 2007, finishing behind Lilly Hinrichs of Lincoln, Neb. Hinrichs finished second behind Lenz at the 2009 junior nationals and will also be competing in Calgary.
