Boys’ basketball: Latest Dominguez transfer

The exodus from the Compton Dominguez basketball program continues, with sophomore guard Chris Croom transferring to Long Beach Poly. He will be eligible immediately, taking advantage of the rule that allows a one-time transfer for sophomores to be.

Keala King is now at Santa Ana Mater Dei, and Norvel Pelle is at Los Angeles Price. They left after continuing troubles in a program reeling from the firing of former Coach Russell Otis and the decision not to rehire Duane Cooper.

The transfer game is not over in basketball for other schools. Kevin Johnson, a 6-foot-10 center from Gardena Serra, is apparently not returning but where he ends up is still a mystery.
