On a third-and-short situation, Dana Hills quarterback Josh Dean faked the handoff, rolled left and connected with Chris Kearney for a 26-yard touchdown pass, giving the Dolphins a 7-3 lead over No. 6-ranked Huntington Beach Edison with 2:07 left in the first quarter Thursday.

Edison had taken a 3-0 lead on a 51-yard field goal by Markus Trujillo.

Edison is playing without Stanford-bound linebacker Jordan Zumwalt, who has a hand injury.
