Football: Kearney’s kickoff return is big for Dana Hills

Huntington Beach Edison, ranked No. 6 by The Times, is having trouble against Dana Hills.

Dylan Leener of Edison caught a 69-yard touchdown pass from Matt Viles to give Edison a 13-10 lead. But Chris Kearney, a junior receiver, returned the kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown, and Dana Hills holds a 17-13 lead with 1:38 left in the second quarter.
