Juan Sanchez connected on a 46-yard field goal as the second quarter ended, giving Carson a 10-7 halftime lead over Gardena Serra.
The Colts’ defense is frustrating Serra. Dwan Gill came up with an interception for Carson, which has limited Serra receivers George Farmer and Robert Woods to one catch apiece.
Serra isn’t going to win unless it stops making penalties on offense.
