Lucky Radley, a top running back and defensive back who transferred from Agoura to Woodland Hills Taft, was cleared on Friday by City Section Commissioner Barbara Fiege to join the Toreadors, but he must sit out the first four games before he’s allowed to play.

Radley will become eligible on Oct. 9. The ruling was made because Radley was declared ineligible last season when he transferred from Encino Crespi to Taft. He later transferred to Agoura, and Fiege said he played in four games last season before Agoura personnel became aware of that decision.

Radley’s clearance should be a big boost for Taft next month. His speed and versatility should make the Toreadors an overwhelming favorite to win the West Valley League and contend in the City Section Division I playoffs.
