A hearing to set the date to determine whether former Lakewood tailback Jerry Stone will be tried as an adult on attempted murder charges is scheduled for Thursday in Compton Juvenile Court.

Stone, 17, faces two counts of attempted murder in connection with an alleged drive-by shooting last month in Compton in which no one was injured. He is being held in Juvenile Hall and faces two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of permitting another to shoot from a vehicle, one count of permitting a loaded firearm in a vehicle, one count of residential first-degree burglary and one count of hit-and-run.
