Oaks Christian has moved ahead of Venice, 6-3, after quarterback Nick Montana connected with tight end Alani Fua on a five-yard touchdown pass early in the second quarter.

The Lions attempted a two-point conversion but Gondoliers defensive back Mychael Tarr sacked Montana for his third big defensive play of the game.

Venice takes over at its own 20-yard line after the kickoff.
