Former Glendora High, Stanford and NBA player Casey Jacobsen has written a first-person account of his days as an AAU player for SLAM Online. It’s quite revealing, about free shoes, free apparel and the potential problems with early publicity.

Jacobsen is now playing in Germany. He’s a good writer besides being a good basketball player.
