Senior quarterback Cody Fajardo of Servite is making life miserable for Mater Dei. He has rushed for 106 yards in seven carries and passed for 71 yards to help the Friars take a 20-0 lead with 7:31 left in the second quarter. Jody Thomas scored the latest touchdown on a four-yard run.

Mater Dei lost its starting tailback, Jordan Allen, to an ankle injury with 8:38 left in the second quarter. Allen was injured tackling on punt coverage.
