Boys’ basketball: Ware is back at Gahr

Boys’ basketball practice starts Nov. 14 in the Southern Section, and at Cerritos Gahr, they are happy to welcome back senior guard Ervin Ware, who started as a freshman and sophomore, then transferred to Long Beach Cabrillo as a junior, was declared ineligible and returned to Gahr in September for his senior year.

Gahr Coach Bob Becker has forgiven and forgotten. Ware spent most of last season at Lakewood Artesia, going to school but not playing.

‘We’re moving on,’ Becker said. ‘We’re turning the page. He’s going to have a great year.’
