Notre Dame needed a big play and got one late in the first half when Ryan Kasdorf hit Patrick Dayao in stride at about the Bishop Amat 10-yard line and Dayao ran it in from there to complete a 40-yard touchdown reception that trimmed the Lancers’ lead to 10-7 with 27 seconds left before halftime.
